Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has prayed for her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, and her husband, Juma Jux, as they embark on the journey of parenthood. Sharing photos from their Tanzanian maternity shoot, Iyabo expressed her gratitude to God and asked for His blessings over the couple as they prepare to welcome their child.
Taking to Instagram, Iyabo Ojo shared stunning snapshots from Priscilla and Juma’s maternity shoot in Tanzania. She declared that as they step into this new chapter, the Lord would go before them and perfect all that concerns them.
@juma_jux & @its.priscy, as you both prepare for this beautiful journey of parenthood, may the Lord go ahead and perfect everything. Lord, I’m grateful and mindful of Your goodness,” she wrote.
Just last month, Iyabo had shared her excitement about Priscilla’s upcoming child’s naming ceremony. In a video posted online, she revealed that after observing Omugo (the postpartum care period), she plans to host a grand naming event in Lagos.
On July 24, Priscilla and Juma announced they were expecting their first child through a joint Instagram post, proudly displaying Priscilla’s baby bump in their maternity photos. Days later, on July 27, a colourful baby shower was held in Canada, where Priscilla will give birth.
During the celebration, Iyabo poured blessings on her daughter, declaring that her marriage would flourish even though hers did not. She noted that she had paid the price for Priscilla to enjoy a lasting and happy home.
In her speech, Iyabo explained that she initially didn’t want a baby shower for her daughter to avoid social media drama. However, she later decided that God’s blessings should be celebrated openly.
She also used the moment to advise mothers and women to speak positive words over their children’s lives and to reject the belief that past struggles must repeat themselves in the next generation. She encouraged breaking negative cycles, noting the reality of ancestral curses.
