Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has addressed circulating rumours of her arrest in Abuja, warning rumour mongers against spreading false news about her.

During a TikTok live session, Iyabo Ojo laid curses on those spreading false reports about her, explaining how such rumours worry her fans, prompting them to call and check on her.

To you all rumour mongers that spread fake news about me, it shall not be well with you. Who did they arrest? Your fake news always makes my fans worried, and they will start calling to check on me. You love to mention my name in order to pull traffic on your page and make money. You are heaping curses on your head because I am a special being. Anyone who wishes me bad, it will go back to the sender,” she stated.

Iyabo has had previous public encounters with authorities. In May, she confirmed that the EFCC invited her for questioning over the spraying of money at her daughter’s wedding. She explained that she initially thought only the abuse or mutilation of the Naira was an offence and appreciated the commission for clarifying the law.

In July, some individuals in Lagos publicly called for harm against Iyabo following Mohbad’s death. She clarified on Instagram that she never accused anyone specifically of causing the late musician’s death and condemned those who repeatedly wish her harm, attack her livelihood, and threaten her family without intervention from authorities.

That same month, Iyabo’s office building caught fire. She shared a video of the incident, expressing gratitude to the Nigerian Fire Service and her staff for salvaging the remaining property. She also thanked God, as no lives were lost, saying, “The devil tested us, but God said no.” Last month, she shared another video showcasing her newly renovated office, giving thanks to her Maker.
