Nigerian singer Jaywon Juwonlo recently visited the graveside of the late legendary singer Sound Sultan, paying tribute to the music icon who passed away in 2021.
Jaywon shared emotional photos of the visit on his social media pages, calling Sound Sultan a mentor full of wisdom, guidance, and inspiration. He expressed that while Sound Sultan is gone, he remains forever a part of them.
At the resting place of a mentor, where wisdom, guidance, and inspiration now lay in eternal peace. Gone, but forever a part of us. Keep resting, Sound Sultan,” Jaywon wrote, expressing his heartfelt admiration. He also thanked his friends, Jaymoh and Blacharanks, for accompanying him.

Sound Sultan, a beloved figure in the Nigerian music industry, passed away on July 11, 2021, after battling Angioimmunoblastic T-cell Lymphoma, a rare form of cancer. His death left a significant void, and several Nigerian artists, including 2baba, paid tribute to him both at his grave and on social media.
2baba, who shared a close relationship with Sound Sultan, has repeatedly expressed how much he misses his friend. He has vowed to continue celebrating Sound Sultan’s legacy until they meet again, describing their shared dreams of transforming Nigerian and African music as a reality.
