Following an alleged ‘illicit romance’ with a married lady in an unfinished structure, the Jigawa State Government has announced the immediate suspension of Auwalu Sankara, the State Commissioner For Special Duties.
Bala Ibrahim, Secretary to the Jigawa State Government, issued a statement on Saturday.
According to the Jigawa State Government:
“Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi, has approved the immediate suspension of Auwalu Dalladi Sankara as Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Special Duties and member of the State Executive Council pending an investigation into allegations made by the Kano State Hisbah.”
The SSG stated that the decision was based on the necessity for a comprehensive inquiry into the accusation in order to maintain openness and the integrity of the state government.
He underscored Jigawa Governor Namadi’s commitment to accountability and ethical government.
The statement by the Jigawa State Government read:
“The suspension is a precautionary measure intended to facilitate a fair investigation.
“We take all allegations seriously and are dedicated to upholding the trust of Jigawa citizens in the government.”
