Nollywood actor Jim Iyke has shared a thought-provoking message for men as he kicks off the year.
Taking to his Instagram story, the actor stressed the importance of having the right partner while focusing on building an empire, advising that men should choose a Queen over someone merely seeking attention.
In his Instagram post, Jim Iyke shared the following message:
“A man whose focus is building an empire needs to either be single or be with a partner. This 💯. A queen and not a clown seeking attention from the entire village.”
The actor’s statement emphasizes the need for men who are dedicated to their goals to surround themselves with the right partner—a “queen” who adds value to their life, rather than someone who seeks attention from the masses.
Jim Iyke has always kept his relationships private, but it is known that he has been married twice and has three children. In 2022, he opened up about his previous marriages, revealing that they did not work out. He shared that the death of his mother deeply affected him emotionally and contributed to changes in his behaviour, which impacted his relationships. Despite the challenges, he took accountability for his part in the failed marriages.
In the past, Jim Iyke was rumored to have dated Ghanaian actress Nadia Buari between 2013 and 2014. The relationship was publicly discussed when Nadia appeared on his reality show, Jim Iyke: Unscripted, where Jim proposed to her. However, the actor later clarified that the proposal was scripted and designed for the show’s ratings.
In 2023, Jim Iyke addressed the viral “who’s that” comment he made about Nadia Buari. He explained that both he and Nadia have moved on from their past and that his comment was meant to avoid stirring controversy in the lives of Nadia’s husband and his own girlfriend.
