Armed men kidnapped seven University of Jos students from a private dormitory on the Bauchi-Ring road in Plateau State’s Jos North local government area.

The event occurred at 1 a.m. on Wednesday, as the pupils claimed to be reading for their upcoming exam.

A University source verified the incident but did not want to be identified or provide any details.

A student in the area where the crime occurred said they couldn’t help even though they were terrified and the invaders waited about 30 minutes before whisking the victims away in a car they arrived in.

The victims’ identities, departments, and years of study could not be determined at the time of this report.

DSP Alfred Alabo, a State Police spokesman. Verified the event and said, “We are still working to rescue the students unhurt.”
