It’s a painful moment for Nigerian comedian and actor, Julius Agwu, as he loses his mother.
The entertainer took to his Twitter page to share the heartbreaking news, posting a touching video of himself and his mum. In his message, Julius Agwu expressed deep sorrow, saying his beloved mother has gone to be with the Lord.
“My dearest mother has gone to be with the Lord. Mama Gee, you will be dearly missed. Rest in peace,” he wrote.
Friends, fans, and colleagues have since flooded his comment section with comforting messages and prayers.
The news of Julius Agwu losing his mother comes as several Nollywood stars have also recently mourned their parents. Last month, Mercy Aigbe lost her mother, Mrs. Abisola Grace Owodunni, and shared a candlelight tribute on Instagram.
Similarly, actor Odunlade Adekola announced the passing of his father, Pastor N.A. Adekola, in August. Yoruba actor Adekola Tijani also lost his mum, expressing his grief on social media.
Actress Nuella Njubigbo and screen diva Ini Edo both lost their fathers this year, while comedian Woli Arole mourned his dad earlier in January, describing him as his hero and role model.
