Bandits assassinated the only teacher in Unguwan Dorowa Bakhira hamlet in the Maro community of Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
During the raid on the village, which occurred in the early hours of Sunday, the bandits also killed a couple.
Mr. Sunday Akor, the elementary school teacher, is an indigene of Benue State.
Nobody was kidnapped during the raid, according to Maigari Ben, a community elder who verified it on Sunday.
He said:
“They killed a man and his wife and a primary school teacher, Mr Sunday Akor, who was a native of Benue State. He was the only classroom teacher in the primary school in this village. No one was kidnapped.”
The State Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, could not be reached for comment at the time of publication.
