Nigerian filmmaker Kazim Adeoti has warmed hearts by surprising his wife, Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe, with a special version of the trendy Labubu doll. In a video shared on Aigbe’s Instagram page, Kazim is seen presenting the collectible plush toy in matching blue and red hues to complement her newly acquired bag.
For those unfamiliar, Labubu is a popular brand of collectible monster elf plush toys that has gained significant attention among women. Aigbe, visibly delighted, took the opportunity to thank her husband publicly, emphasizing her appreciation for the sweet gesture and affirming her role as a good wife.
So I told my hubby @kazimadeoti that I don’t mind getting another Labubu to pimp a new bag I just bought! And this is what Alhaji got me. I am a very good wife, and I have ITELORUN,” she captioned. She further urged fans to watch their movie Itelorun on Adekaz Premium TV.
Kazim’s gesture is another testament to the couple’s flourishing relationship despite public scrutiny. In a recent interview, Aigbe addressed negative comments about her marriage to the filmmaker, a father of four, labeling the criticisms as mere noise. She revealed that her decision to remarry faced opposition from her family due to her age, but her determination to pursue happiness prevailed.
Over time, Mercy Aigbe has consistently shared her love and respect for Kazim. A year ago, she surprised fans by converting to Islam, adopting the name Hajia Minnah, and explaining that her love for her husband inspired the life-changing decision.
