Controversial journalist Kemi Olunloyo celebrated her son, Olukayode Joshua Taiwo, as he marked his 24th birthday.

Taking to Instagram, she shared heartfelt photos of them together, expressing pride in his accomplishments and his dreams yet to be realized.

Meanwhile, Olukayode shared an emotional post on his own social media, reflecting on the past year since moving to the United States. He candidly detailed his struggles, revealing how his extended family in Nigeria had mistreated him and how he faced new challenges in America, including homelessness, job losses, and a car accident.

“Happy Birthday to me and to being in America for 1 year already… Coming back to a country I haven’t lived in for 11 years all by myself to restart my life from all the abuse and depression I went through in Nigeria… Being here alone with no support system has been hard,” he wrote.

Olukayode also acknowledged the unwavering support of his mother, Kemi Olunloyo, and shared his hopes for a brighter future, expressing gratitude for the birthday wishes he received.
