Nigerian Afrobeat star Kizz Daniel has announced the heartbreaking loss of his mother-in-law, who passed away after battling breast cancer.
The singer took to Twitter (now X) to share the sad news, urging his fans to join him in mourning and offer prayers for the deceased.
My wife lost her mom to breast cancer, and I’m here mourning with her. Say a prayer for her mom, Vaddicts,” Kizz Daniel wrote.
The news comes after a turbulent year, during which rumors of a rocky marriage between Kizz Daniel and his wife circulated. These rumours gained traction after he posted a tweet about breaking up, though the singer did not address them directly. Instead, Kizz posted a series of photos with his wife, putting those rumors to rest. He also took a stand against those spreading negative gossip about his relationship, slamming a lady who accused him of leaving his wife for another woman.
Earlier this year, Kizz Daniel shocked many by revealing he had been married since 2020 and that his wife had been waking up at 4:30 am to prepare his breakfast. The couple celebrated the birth of triplets in 2021, though one of them tragically did not survive. After keeping his wife’s identity private for years, Kizz Daniel publicly introduced her on Mother’s Day in 2022.
Despite the turbulence, including romantic rumors linking him to actress Iyabo Ojo’s daughter, Priscilla, Kizz Daniel has continued to be an active figure in both his personal and professional life.
