Nollywood actor Kolawole Ajeyemi has earned widespread praise for his humility after meeting controversial Nigerian singer Portable.
In a video circulating online, the actor was seen entering a club amid a cheering crowd. Ajeyemi, the husband of actress Toyin Abraham, encountered Portable at the event. The two greeted each other warmly, with Portable almost bowing to Ajeyemi, who stopped him and offered a handshake instead.
Social media users flocked to the comment section to commend Ajeyemi’s down-to-earth nature. One user, Quadronova, wrote,
“Man so humble.” Another, Heal With Ola, shared, “If humility was a person, Na daddy ire, anyway I meet him one on one, una go beg me to stop crying. He carries the kind low-key grace I dey pray for, more wins, Daddy Ire.”
Other comments highlighted the mutual respect between Ajeyemi and Portable. Herm Ambassador remarked,
Omo Portable na very humble boy and Daddy Ire’s humbleness is top notch. Nice one, King. Greatness always.” Al Money Inn added, “So beautiful to watch,” while Kemisola noted, “So calm and gentle.”
This is not the first time Kolawole Ajeyemi has been celebrated for his humility. Last year, he shared a video of himself prostrating to greet veteran Nollywood actors Dele Odule and Antar Laniyan on a movie set, also acknowledging peers like Ibrahim Chatta and Ayo Olaiya. The gesture left many Nigerians in awe of his respectful demeanor.
In other news, Toyin Abraham playfully reprimanded her husband and colleague Bakare Zainab over a romance scene in their latest movie. Ajeyemi had shared a clip of them kissing on set, which led Toyin to jokingly urge them to make the kiss look more real, questioning their lack of passion in the scene.
