Dieko Afolayan, the son of renowned Nollywood actor and filmmaker Kunle Afolayan, has caused quite a stir online following the release of a recent video.
In the clip, Dieko is seen showing off his latest look while behaving in a feminine manner, holding a hanging bag and demonstrating his car repair skills.
The video, which quickly went viral, has ignited mixed reactions online. Many expressed disappointment and disapproval of his behaviour.
One user, Iva Sylvester, commented,
But honestly, what’s the affiliation of Yoruba people and gaybrilism?” while another, Jossie Chuchu, questioned, “Can this be corrected?”
Others added their thoughts, with some urging prayers for male children. Inumidun wrote,
Pray for male sons and female daughters already,” and Fierced Lyna added, “This life, your truth is becoming a big problem oh. Na wa o.”
The debate surrounding Dieko’s video brings to mind earlier social media uproars, such as when a viral photo of Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi’s son, Oseloka, featured him in a gay publication. The photo also led to questions about his sexuality, with some defending Peter Obi and others criticizing him for raising a gay son.
