Nollywood stars Lateef Adedimeji and Mo Bimpe have publicly expressed their gratitude to veteran actress Funke Akindele for her unwavering support.
The box office queen took to Instagram to praise the couple’s latest movie, Lisabi 2, applauding their efforts and urging her followers to watch it. Funke described the movie as a “job well done” and congratulated the duo on their achievement.

In response, Mo Bimpe and Lateef Adedimeji expressed their heartfelt thanks. Mo Bimpe called Funke a “great motivation” and acknowledged her continuous support and inspiration. Similarly, Lateef Adedimeji appreciated Funke’s encouragement and affirmed their love and respect for her.
Funke Akindele continues to play a significant role in supporting younger actors, but her relationships in Nollywood have not been without controversy. Last year, Funke faced criticism from Faithia Williams, who accused her of blocking her on Instagram over a disagreement involving Mercy Aigbe.
Additionally, Funke’s alleged involvement in rivalries with colleagues like Iyabo Ojo and Toyin Abraham has made headlines in the past. However, her public reconciliation with Iyabo Ojo during the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards in 2022 showed her willingness to mend fences.
Despite past controversies, Funke Akindele remains a pillar of Nollywood, celebrated for her influence and continued support of the industry’s rising stars.
