Lateef Adedimeji has indeed come a long way in his career. In a recent interview, he reflected on his early days when he was paid as little as N4,000 for a lead role. He recalled advice from his father that kept him grounded and focused on his craft. Last year, he revealed that he was once paid just N5,000 for a lead role, sharing his journey from a young, helpless boy making people laugh unintentionally to a celebrated actor.
Despite the humble beginnings, Lateef’s talent has not gone unnoticed. He was recently nominated for Best Actor in a Lead Role at the 10th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), although he lost to Wole Ojo. Nonetheless, he received recognition for his role in Femi Adebayo’s movie, *Jagun Jagun*, expressing his honour to be on stage with Nollywood greats and vowing to never forget the moment.
The anticipated project with D’banj is yet another milestone in Lateef’s flourishing career. Fans are eagerly waiting to see what this dynamic duo has in store.
