Reality television star Laura Ikeji recently expressed her shock at the high rates influencers charge for their services.

The *Real Housewives of Lagos* star revealed in a recent post that influencers demand up to $10,000 per video and three million Naira for Instagram story posts.

Ikeji lamented the exorbitant costs, stating that with such high fees, influencers should be able to afford houses in Banana Island, Lagos—one of the city’s most expensive areas. She also admitted she might be slacking in her influencer career and called for those charging high fees to teach her their ways.

Netizens shared their thoughts in the comments section:

– glitz_farms: “Most businesses are influencing for themselves these days because what is that… 3 million for a story? What if it doesn’t convert?”
– mz_bolajoko: “That is why we business owners have decided to be influencers too.”

Influencers have recently faced scrutiny for various misconducts. One notable case involved popular influencer Ashmusy, who was called out by Very Dark Man for an unpaid debt to a businessman in Alaba, Lagos.
