Job Description
The Position holder will lend legal support to the affiliate as part of the Legal and Compliance department.
Responsibilities
- Contracts – Review of assigned contracts in use across the affiliate
- Data Protection – Act as DPR for the affiliate and coordinate all related activities
- Legal Research – Provide legal opinions and research on legal matters as required by the business to make informed decisions.
- Training internal and external stakeholders on Legal matters including contracts, Data Protection, BE and other Legal and Compliance areas of interest.
- Liaison with Third parties serving the Legal and Compliance Department. Review their terms of reference and retainer agreements and assure compliance to the same.
- Follow up on payments on behalf of the Legal and Compliance team.
- Participate as a member of the Legal and Compliance team on Business Ethics activations and Initiatives. Also, as a Middle Africa team player on affiliate wide initiatives.
Qualification
- Minimum of B.Sc Degrees in Law with 1 – 3 years relevant work experience in a Legal department or law firm.
