Nollywood actress Lola Alao has once again spoken glowingly about her colleague and close friend Iyabo Ojo, reaffirming their strong bond.
In a trending video from Iyabo Ojo’s daughter Priscilla’s baby shower, Lola—who helped organize the event—was captured giving an emotional speech. She described Iyabo as her “blood,” stating that the actress is so selfless she could give out her own eyes if necessary.
“Iyabo, my blood, you shall overcome all your enemies. Iyabo can give out her eyes if it’s possible. She goes to extremes when it comes to children. Everything you see on the internet is not Iyabo. She is a cheerful giver, a woman with a heart of gold. Iyabo, please don’t let anyone change you. Keep being you.”
This is not the first time Lola has openly defended Iyabo’s character. During a period when Iyabo faced heavy criticism online, Lola described her as a kind-hearted person who often puts other people’s problems above her own.
Two years ago, Lola recounted how Iyabo visited her in Canada and supported her clothing business by modeling one of her outfits. The promotion sparked daily orders worldwide, significantly boosting Lola’s sales. Grateful for the gesture, Lola called Iyabo a blessed child.
Other Nollywood stars have also attested to Iyabo Ojo’s generous spirit. Opeyemi Aiyeola once described her as an angel to many, urging her to remain strong and faithful. Actress Ashabi Olorisha praised Iyabo’s good heart and prayed for continuous blessings over her life and generation.
Similarly, Kiitan Bukola revealed that Iyabo offered her a place to stay when her Lekki home was demolished by Lagos State authorities, while Bimbo Success shared that Iyabo personally reached out to help when her twins were battling a severe cough.
