Remedial Health (YC W22) is a healthcare technology company based in Lagos. Our mission is to improve business-to-business access to medicines by providing direct supply from manufacturers/registered distributors to large and small healthcare retail businesses. We leverage technology to deliver just-in-time stock, provide financing options, and offer a wide selection of inventory to retail businesses, including large pharmacies and remote chemist/PPMVs (Patent and Proprietary Medicine Vendors).
Role
This is a full-time on-site role for a Management Accountant at Remedial Health. The Management Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day financial analysis and reporting, managing accruals, and providing financial insights to support business decisions. The role involves working closely with the finance team and other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
Job Description
- Preparation of Management Account and weekly financial reports
- Analysis of cash flow statement
- Posting of transactions using accounting software
- Disbursement of funds for operational activities
- Forecasting and preparation of budgets and forecast
Responsibilities
- Oversees financial transaction processing and reconciliation while maintaining the accuracy of all bookkeeping functions.
- Managing the financial accounting reporting systems for the organization. This includes monthly financial reporting, budgetary controls and forecasts, expenditure controls, financial plans, and all monthly data submissions.
- Overseeing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Oversee Depot Accountant work and guide all depot financial and accounts operational requirements.
- Oversee the invoicing and warehouse day-to-day activities and ensure that all available products on the order of distributors are invoiced before the sales ledger closes every month/period.
- Make necessary recommendations on required updates to the financial operational processes/SOP.
- Keep proper records of all vendor transactions, payment vouchers, expenditure tickets, and historical financial and accounts records for ease of assessment from the archive.
- Any other ad-hoc responsibilities
Qualifications
• Must possess a minimum of HND/BSc in Accounting and be a registered member of ICAN
• 2 -3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis and management accounting
• Sound knowledge of the use of Spreadsheets (Excel and Google Sheets)
