Managing Director (Cowry Finance – A subsidiary of Cowry Group): The role is responsible for overseeing the organization and ensuring business growth, profitability, and effectiveness in performance to maximize and sustain shareholder value.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for the achievement of the company’s profitability and growth targets as approved by the Board and consistently meet Key Performance Indicators.
- Facilitates the initiation and execution of short, medium, and long-term strategies and objectives and ensures the achievement of its objectives as cost-effectively and efficiently as possible.
- Maintain awareness of the competitive market landscape, expansion opportunities, and industry developments.
- Develop and implement initiatives/interventions as required to increase revenue and/or reduce operating costs.
- Review performance reports on both financial and non-financial indicators (performance against plan) and determine required actions for any performance improvements.
- Ensure that appropriate processes and procedures are in place for delivering the company’s mandate.
- Liaises with the relevant industry, government, and/or regulatory bodies, ensuring that the organization’s interests are presented and protected.
- Ensure that the company complies with all regulatory requirements and behaves in a socially responsible manner.
- Perform any other duty assigned by the Board.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or any business-related discipline. Masters is an added advantage
- Relevant professional qualifications CIBN, NIM, ICAN, ACCA.
- Minimum of 15 years cumulative relevant working experience with at least 7 years of proven track record as a Managing Director in a Financial Institution.
- Excellent organizational and visionary leadership skills.
- Commercial awareness and industry knowledge.
- Financial management skills.
Location: Lagos State, Nigeria Hybrid.
