Manchester United Hit by Casemiro Injury Ahead of Sheffield United Clash

In yet another setback for Manchester United, Casemiro has been ruled out of their upcoming clash against Sheffield United. The Brazilian midfielder sustained an ankle injury while on international duty with Brazil and had to be substituted during a recent 1-1 draw against Venezuela. Following the injury, he remained in Brazil to recover, as advised by the club.

Casemiro’s absence adds to the growing injury list for Erik ten Hag’s team, which already includes long-term absentees like Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and Amad Diallo.

On a positive note, Sergio Reguilon, Sofyan Amrabat, Raphael Varane, and Jonny Evans have returned to training despite recent fitness concerns.

Casemiro’s unavailability isn’t limited to the Sheffield United game; he will also miss the midweek Champions League match against Copenhagen due to suspension.

Manchester United, who recently secured a dramatic 2-1 victory against Brentford, will look to continue their winning streak as they face Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Saturday.

The absence of Casemiro adds to the challenges, but the team remains determined to secure another important win.
