Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, is set to receive the Women of Vision award from feminist icon Gloria Steinem at the Ms. Foundation’s 2023 Women of Vision Awards gala event next month. Markle, 41, will be honored for her “global advocacy to empower and advocate on behalf of women and girls.”
The event is designed to raise funds for the organization’s initiatives while exploring the past, present, and future of the Ms. Foundation and feminist movements. Other award winners include Black Lives Matter co-founder LaTosha Brown.
Meghan Markle is noted for her lifelong advocacy for women and girls on the event page. She has served as the UN Women’s Advocate for Women’s Political Participation and Leadership. The Duchess of Sussex is also a World Vision Global Ambassador and has been involved in several other advocacy programs.
She is also recognized as one of the world’s most powerful and influential women.
