Nollywood actress and producer Mercy Aigbe Adeoti continues to stand tall with her husband, Kazim Adeoti, despite the ongoing online controversy involving his first wife, Funsho Adeoti.
The couple recently stepped out together, brushing aside criticisms from Funsho’s supporters, who have been vocal following Kazim’s absence at Funsho’s birthday party in Minnesota, USA.
Kazim Adeoti faced backlash when he issued a public statement explaining why he missed the birthday celebration. According to him, Funsho had explicitly banned him from attending, though he made sure to meet his financial obligations for the event.
Despite the social media storm, Mercy Aigbe remains unfazed. She dazzled in a stunning green outfit at the premiere of Omoni Oboli’s film, The Uprising (Wives on Strike 3), leaving fans in awe of her beauty. Mercy hinted at her glamorous look, saying, “Green with envy,” as she appreciated the movie’s emotional depth and the talent of the cast, especially veteran actress Hilda Dokubo.
Before the premiere of her movie Ada Omo Daddy, Mercy publicly thanked her husband Kazim Adeoti for his unwavering support, calling him her “lovely husband of the year.” The two have faced intense public scrutiny since their marriage in 2022 but have continuously supported each other through it all.
Kazim Adeoti’s steadfast dedication to Mercy’s career was also evident in the promotion of her 2023 project. Videos circulating on social media show Kazim fully involved, even dressing in outfits far removed from his usual style, to help promote his wife’s work.
Despite the online criticism, Mercy and Kazim continue to support each other, showing a united front through thick and thin.
