Nollywood star Mercy Aigbe Adeoti couldn’t hold back her tears after receiving a heartwarming gesture from her junior colleague, Efe Irele.
The actress, who is also a producer, took to Instagram to share photos of herself holding a beautiful bouquet and a card that Efe had sent to congratulate her on the start of her new production.
In the card, Efe expressed her admiration and best wishes for Mercy, writing, “Best wishes on your production, Aunty Mercy. Love you loads. Efe Irele.” This thoughtful gesture touched Mercy deeply, leading her to reflect on how it’s often the small acts of kindness that have the biggest impact.
Sharing her emotional response with her followers, Mercy captioned her post, “It’s in the little things.” She also took the opportunity to announce her upcoming project, *Thinline*, which is set to hit cinemas in December, building anticipation among her fans and followers.
This isn’t Mercy’s first venture into cinema production. Last December, she debuted her first cinema movie, “Ada Omo Daddy”, which was well-received by audiences and became a significant success. The film grossed 180.7 million Naira, making it the third highest-grossing movie at the time. This achievement was particularly notable given the competition from other big names in the industry like Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham.
Mercy’s husband, Kazim Adeoti, who is also a filmmaker, has been a strong pillar of support for her career. Following the success of “Ada Omo Daddy”, Kazim took to social media to celebrate his wife’s resilience, creativity, and vision. He expressed his pride in the woman Mercy has become, praising her for taking a stand for herself and achieving such a significant milestone.
Since their controversial marriage in 2022, Kazim Adeoti has been a constant source of support for Mercy, standing by her side through thick and thin. Videos circulating on social media have shown Kazim’s unwavering support for his wife’s projects, further solidifying their bond in both their personal and professional lives.
