Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe Adeoti is celebrating a major milestone as her movie “Ada Omo Daddy” has achieved significant success at the box office, raking in 30 million naira within just three days of its release. This accomplishment is particularly notable as it marks Aigbe’s first major cinema film.
Taking to Instagram to share her excitement, the actress expressed gratitude to her fans for their massive show of love and support. Despite initial doubts and reservations about the project, “Ada Omo Daddy” emerged as a success, becoming the second-highest opening for a Nollywood title in 2023.
Aigbe thanked Nigeria and Ghana for their support, acknowledging the significant role her fans played in the success of the movie. She emphasized that this achievement is just the beginning of her journey to set new records in the industry.
In her Instagram post, Mercy Aigbe wrote,
THIS CAN ONLY BE GOD!!!!!! My first major Cinema project ADAOMODADDY..Despite the doubts and reservations, we did 30M+ on the opening weekend! 2nd highest opening for a Nollywood title in 2023. This is just the beginning of my journey to setting my own record. I am so Proud of myself.”
She also extended a big shout-out to everyone who supported the movie, expressing deep gratitude and emphasizing that she does not take the love and support for granted.
