Nollywood star Mercy Johnson Okojie is getting candid about the challenges of raising four children — especially during the school break.
In a playful yet relatable Instagram post, the actress shared a video of herself with her kids, confessing that the holiday has been more draining than expected. She admitted she has shouted at them countless times and is counting down the days until school resumes.
“Mom and more. I don shout tire. Chai! Moms, how una dey? Make this holiday do finish oo,” she wrote.
This isn’t the first time the screen diva has spoken about the realities of motherhood. Months earlier, Mercy revealed one of the growing pains of parenting a teenager: her daughter once told her she was “killing” her social life and refused to make videos with her.
Back in 2022, during a family trip to the United States, the Edo State politician’s wife expressed her displeasure over her children’s unwillingness to carry their own bags at the airport, complaining that they were “too heavy.”
Mercy’s honesty about motherhood echoes sentiments shared by fellow filmmaker Mary Njoku, who has admitted to struggling with raising her three children. Mary once shared that she often wonders how her mother managed to raise eight kids and remain sane, while she feels on edge with just three.
