Troops from several theatres in operation in the nation have recovered 66,692 guns and ammunition from non-state actors.
According to the figures, forces captured 3,117 hazardous weaponry and 63,575 ammunition.
Terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, and Indigenous People of Biafra combatants are among the non-state actors from whose weaponry and ammunition have been collected.
The numbers are based on reported recoveries made by troops during operations in several theatres from January to April 2024.
Among the weapons discovered during this period were 1,619 AK-47 rifles, 24 Automatic Pump Action guns, and 47 locally made firearms, among others.
