Music star Davido’s decision to take his first baby mama, Sophia Momodu, to court over the custody of their daughter, Imade Adeleke, has sparked mixed reactions online.
Davido is seeking joint custody, claiming that Sophia has been denying him access to their daughter while extorting money from him.
Report has it that Davido has been responsible for Imade’s school fees since her birth. He also purchased a N200 million apartment in Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos, for Sophia, which she rejected. Instead, she chose to live in a rented apartment, demanding Davido pay N5 million annually for it. Additionally, Davido bought a Range Rover for Sophia and Imade, but despite his efforts, Sophia continued to make substantial demands.

In January, blogger Cutie Juls exposed Sophia’s demands, including $800 monthly for Imade’s nanny, which should be paid through her lawyers, along with a two-year arrears and communication through her lawyers to allow visitation rights.
