The Super Eagles duo of Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi will be embroiled in the Premier League’s fierce relegation battle in the next few weeks.
Leicester is second from the bottom and two points from safety with eight games remaining.
Dean Smith has been appointed as Leicester’s manager until the end of the season. The 2016 Premier League champions announced this on Monday.
Former Aston Villa and Norwich boss Smith replace Brendan Rodgers. Rodgers was sacked on April 2 after the Foxes seemed to be getting worse with each passing game.
Rodgers is one of a record 13 managerial changes in the Premier League this season. this is three more than in any other previous campaign. Several clubs have also appointed interim candidates until the end of the season.
Ndidi and Iheanacho have never had to battle relegation at Leicester as Brendan Rodgers helped the team win the FA Cup and Community Shield.
Leicester is reported to be in a panic as the season draws to a close. They are keenly hopeful that interim manager Dean Smith can perform well.
