Newcastle United is reportedly strategizing a January move for Arsenal’s young talent, Emile Smith Rowe, as the player’s future with the Gunners remains uncertain. The Magpies’ directors, Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi, are set to confer with chairman Yasir al-Rummayan and head coach Eddie Howe to deliberate on their winter transfer plans.

Smith Rowe, who faced speculation linking him to Chelsea over the summer, has attracted Newcastle’s attention due to limited game time at Arsenal. The report suggests that the Magpies’ recruitment team has already discussed Smith Rowe as a potential target.

Having made six appearances this season and grappling with injuries, the 21-year-old’s situation at Arsenal prompts Newcastle to explore the possibility of securing his services in the upcoming transfer window. Smith Rowe, a product of Arsenal’s academy, has amassed 102 appearances for the Gunners, contributing with 18 goals and 11 assists since breaking into the first team in 2018.

As Newcastle aims to solidify its position in the league, discussions around potential acquisitions reflect the club’s determination to bolster its squad with promising talent like Smith Rowe.
