Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala worthy Nigerian ambassador, brilliant woman – Pres. Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has hailed Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director General of the World Trade Organisation, as a respectable ambassador of Nigeria.

Tinubu said Okonjo-Iweala exemplifies Nigerians’ courage, dedication, and intellect.

He made the comment when celebrating Nigeria’s former finance minister on her 70th birthday.

In a statement sent by his spokeswoman, Ajuri Ngelale, the president expressed his congratulations to the great leader and her family on this historic occasion.

The President praised the former Minister of Finance for her contributions to the nation and efforts to strengthen institutions.

The statement read:

“President Tinubu also commends the Director-General of the World Trade Organization for being a worthy ambassador of Nigeria, exemplifying the grit, diligence, and brilliance that Nigerians are known for.

“The President prays for many more years in good health for Dr. Okonjo-Iweala and her family.”
