In an emotional post shared on Instagram, Nkechi Blessing uploaded a video showing her distributing food items to the less privileged in commemoration of the event. She expressed the challenges of coping with her mother’s absence, sharing that it has been “three hard years without her.”
In her heartfelt tribute, Nkechi made a solemn promise to keep her mother’s legacy alive, stating that she never allowed her mother to suffer while she was alive, and she would carry that commitment for the rest of her life. The actress, well-known for her deep connection to her family, vowed to always remember her mother, honoring her not just with words, but through actions that reflect the love and care she held for her.
In a follow-up post, Nkechi Blessing praised her mother for shaping her into the strong woman she is today. “Dear mother, I will continue to make you proud,” she wrote. “Thank you for all your teachings and for making me the woman I am. I love you forever until we meet to part no more.” She ended her post with a declaration that her mother’s spirit lives on.
Fans may recall that Nkechi’s mother, Gloria Sunday, passed away just five days before her birthday in 2021. Nkechi has frequently shared stories of how she worked tirelessly to ensure her mother never lacked while alive. In 2022, on the first anniversary of her mother’s death, she took to the streets to distribute food and water, a tradition she has continued.
Blessing has also been candid about her grief, recounting her emotional visit to her mother’s graveside in December. During that visit, she spoke of personal updates, including her new relationship, her son’s academic successes, and her recent achievements, feeling her mother’s spiritual presence urging her to stay strong.
