Nollywood Actor Saidi Balogun Mourns the Loss of His Daughter, Zeenat

It is a heartbreaking day for Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Saidi Balogun, as he mourns the loss of his first daughter, Zeenat.

The tragic news was shared on his Instagram page, where the Yoruba actor posted a solemn image of a candlelight surrounded by flowers, accompanied by birds and heartbroken emojis.

Fellow actress Allwell Ademola also expressed her shock and grief, sharing a similar candlelight photo on Instagram. In her post, she prayed for the news to be a bad dream, saying,

I am speechless. I pray this is all a dream, Oh God! My Osenatu.”

Many of Saidi’s colleagues and fans have taken to social media to offer their condolences. Actor Adeniyi Johnson commented, “My condolences sir,” while Kunle Afod wrote, “Take heart, my brother.”

Yomi Fash Lanso expressed his sympathy with the message, “Condolence to you and your entire family and dear brother. May your God console you, cushion your pains, and wipe away your tears.”

Fans and friends also shared touching tributes to Zeenat, remembering her for her kind heart and how much she adored her father. One fan wrote, “My heart is heavy. Zainab’s life revolved around making her dad proud. Rest in peace, Zeenat. You fought well.”

Another added, “She was such an angel. Rest in peace, Zee.”

This tragic loss follows similar heartbreaking events in the entertainment industry. In August, actor Francis Duru lost his son, Ifeanyi, whom he described as a lion who fought bravely for his life. Last year, skit maker Olagunju Solomon Olamide, better known as Akika, lost his son on Father’s Day, leaving a void that was hard to fill.
