In a heartwarming turn of events, Nollywood actress Biola Bayo has been lauded for her role in reuniting veteran actress Jumoke George with her missing daughter, Adeola, who had been trafficked to Mali and separated from her family for four years.
Jumoke George first revealed her daughter’s plight during an emotional interview with Biola Bayo. Biola later disclosed on Instagram that Adeola had been located in Mali but had not yet made contact with her mother. Thanks to efforts led by Abike Dabiri, Chairperson of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Adeola was successfully brought back to Nigeria.
In a video shared on Biola Bayo’s Instagram page, the moving reunion captured hearts across the nation. A visibly emotional Jumoke George was seen sitting on the ground, clutching her daughter in a tight embrace. Adeola expressed gratitude to Biola Bayo and Adeniyi Johnson for their humanitarian efforts, crediting them for facilitating her rescue.
