Nollywood actress Bose Alao recently shared a heartfelt account of surviving a devastating house fire that occurred on May 30th.
Despite the damage, Bose expressed deep gratitude that no lives were lost and acknowledged the unwavering support from her community during the ordeal.
On her social media, Bose shared a video showing the aftermath of the fire that affected her home. She revealed that the incident happened exactly a week before, during a period when her family was celebrating her children’s birthday and the Sallah festival — a bittersweet reminder of life’s resilience even in difficult times.
“Grateful beyond words. Exactly 1 week yesterday, Friday, May 30th, our home caught fire, but by God’s grace, no life was lost. Yesterday, we celebrated our children’s birthday and Sallah, a reminder that even through the flames, life continues to give us reasons to be thankful.”
Bose praised her entire neighbourhood for rallying around her family, fighting the fire alongside them before the firefighters arrived. She assured her followers that her family is safe but acknowledged the challenge ahead as they start rebuilding.
“Our entire neighbourhood stood with us, fighting side-by-side even before the arrival of firefighters. To everyone who helped, comforted, and supported us: thank you. My family is safe, but we’re starting over. I pray God sends support to help ease the financial burden on my husband and me as we rebuild the affected areas. Please keep us in your prayers.”
