Nollywood actor Nosa Rex, popularly known as Baba Rex, has once again shown that family holds a special place in his heart.
The movie star recently shared an emotional video of the moment he surprised his wife and children at their home in London. In the now-viral clip posted on Instagram, his kids—dressed for school—were left in complete shock as they opened the door to find their dad standing there. But it was his wife’s reaction that stole the spotlight. She pushed the kids aside and ran straight into her husband’s arms, overwhelmed with joy.
Captioning the video, Baba Rex revealed that his family had no idea he was in the UK. They believed he had flown to Paris ahead of the Edo Festival and Awards, scheduled for July 12. But instead, he made a quick detour to London just to see them and do the school run.
“I was supposed to fly to Paris for the Edo festival and awards happening on the 12th of July.
But I decided to surprise my family first. They didn’t see it coming as they thought I landed in Paris.
My kids were shocked. My plan was to make sure I did school run this morning… and YES it happened.
Family is everything.
How I left my movie set to make this happen na gist for another day. See ya all in PARIS on the 12th of July.”
His thoughtful gesture moved many of his colleagues, who filled the comment section with kind words and admiration.
Actress Chinenye Ennebe wrote, “Aw this is so beautiful.”
Timini Egbuson added, “Aww bless,” while Mike Godson exclaimed, “Naaaa.”
Oge Okoye, Rachael Okonkwo, Chizzy Alichi, Mary Igwe, and Georgina Ibeh were among the many who echoed how beautiful the moment was.
This isn’t the first time the actor has publicly demonstrated his love for his family. On his birthday last year, his wife shared touching photos of him, calling him the best of men. She praised him for making life easier, being a dependable problem-solver, and always putting family first. She also appreciated how he listens, adjusts when needed, and calms his “inner bad boy.”
The couple, who have been married for over eight years, continue to set an example of lasting love in Nollywood. On their 7th anniversary, Nosa surprised his wife by acquiring a mansion in Lagos, a property she later revealed was fully paid for.
He has also shared his thoughts on marriage, urging young people not to rush into it or give in to pressure. According to him, he and his wife were friends for two years before tying the knot. While he admits that marriage is not without its challenges, he remains committed to his family and prioritises spending quality time with them.
