Popular on-air personality and hype man, Oladotun Ojuolape Kayode, fondly known as OAP Dotun or the Energy gAD, has expressed gratitude to God as he celebrates another year of life.
Dotun took to Instagram to share striking dark-themed photos of himself alongside a heartfelt message. The Energy gAD reflected on his journey, acknowledging God’s faithfulness in fulfilling promises and making tough times bearable.
He wrote:
“God, you promised this Birthday boy a win, and you never failed me one day. You made my toughest journey the easiest to bear. I am so grateful.
It’s a +1 for Energy gAD .. Mo’ Energy.”
Earlier this year, Dotun publicly shared his emotional struggles during his daughter Fioreyimika’s 8th birthday. Amid a messy custody battle with his estranged wife, Dotun reminisced about joyful moments with his daughters, sharing a touching video and a prayer-filled message.
The renowned video jockey wished his “goofy and carbon copy” daughter a happy birthday while expressing his longing to reunite with her.
Dotun’s personal challenges have also involved public accusations against his ex-wife and her brother, Nigerian singer D’banj. He alleged that their actions have prevented him from reuniting with his daughters, an ongoing battle that has stirred public sympathy.
