Nigerian actor and artist Hawwal Ogungbadero has opened up on how he and 29 others set a new Guinness World Record for the longest recording marathon by multiple artists. Ogungbadero and his crew members at Black Stereo Music Group, BSMG, on June 25, 2023, set a new Guinness World Record for the longest recording marathon by multiple artists for 40 hours 19 minutes.

In a recent interview with TVC, the thespian said he got the idea in 2022.

Ogungbadero said,

“In 2022, the idea came to me to do a Guinness World Record [challenge]. And I decided to hold a musical Guinness World Record featuring a lot of artists in the record as well.

“I’m more focused on the artistic part of my career. So, I got artists in the studio, we decided to hold the Guinness World Record for 40 hours and 19 minutes. It was very difficult because initially, we didn’t have funding to like to go do it. Things needed for a Guinness World Record. There are a lot of technicalities to it. And I’m grateful to God that we were able to get the funding from some blockchains companies and here we are today, the Guinness World Record [certificate] is right beside me.”
