Recently, the Ooni of Ife and his fourth wife, Olori Ashley, joyfully announced the birth of their first child together, a baby boy. The Ooni took to his official Instagram account to express his gratitude to God for the blessings they’ve received.
In her own touching post, Olori Ashley opened up about the challenges they had faced, including the heartbreak of losing twins last year. She shared that, despite these difficult times, their faith in God had remained steadfast.
However, it was her calling their son the “Crown Prince” that sparked curiosity among social media users, as the Ooni already has two sons: one from his estranged wife, Olori Naomi, and another from his third wife, Olori Tobi Phillips.
In response to the online buzz, Olori Ashley posted a heartfelt video of herself cradling her baby bump, offering clarity on her words. She explained that their son holds the title of prince from both her side and his father’s royal lineage, blending the heritage of two powerful houses.
She elaborated on the significance of mothers speaking life into their children, stating,
It is your duty and right to do so as a MOTHER. Call them what you want them to be and let them know their worth without apology.”
As her post concluded, she shared her deep appreciation for her husband and the support system that helped them maintain their privacy during the sacred pregnancy journey.
