Nollywood actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli has humorously addressed a viral Facebook post claiming her best friend and colleague, Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha, recently welcomed a baby boy.
The viral post read:
Congratulations to you, congratulations as Chioma Chukwuka finally welcomes a bouncing baby boy. Congratulations to you.”
Responding via her Instagram page, Omoni jokingly joined in the “celebration” while debunking the claim. She shared that she had spent over two hours on the phone with Chioma discussing various topics, including the alleged baby.
I’m hearing congratulations are in order for my lovely friend @chiomakpotha on the birth of her bouncing baby boy. We’ve been on the phone for over 2 hours and 30 minutes discussing breastfeeding, naming ceremony, and others. Perhaps we call the baby @thechiomachukwukatv since that’s the only new baby I’m aware of that’s trending!

Recently, actress Eve Esin also debunked a viral post claiming she had welcomed a child after 12 years of marriage. Clarifying the misinformation, Eve stated she isn’t married and that the photos circulating were from movie sets. She reminded fans that marriage and childbearing would come in God’s time.
Veteran actress Rita Edochie has also addressed false death rumors about Osita Iheme, popularly known as Pawpaw. Condemning the spread of such news, Rita called out the harm caused by social media and described the trend as madness.
Similar incidents have plagued Yoruba actress Ronke Odusanya and billionaire businessman E-Money. Ronke denied reports of acquiring a multi-million naira mansion, while E-Money promised legal action against false allegations about his involvement in an affair and a supposed death.
