Manchester United are edging closer to an agreement for Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana after more talks between the clubs, according to Sky Sports News.
Following the departure of David De Gea, Manchester United have intensified their efforts to sign Onana from Inter Milan.
The clubs are getting closer to reaching an agreement for the transfer of the Cameroonian goalkeeper.
After further discussions between the clubs, there has been positive progress in negotiating a compromise for the fee. Inter Milan initially refused to reduce their asking price of £51m (€60m).
However, personal terms are expected to be straightforward, and all parties involved are keen to see the transfer go through. Manchester United’s initial offer of £38.5m (€45m) was rejected, but negotiations are advancing.
Sources close to Onana believe that there is a mutual desire to finalize the deal before the goalkeeper is due for Inter Milan’s pre-season training on July 13.
It is no secret that Onana wishes to reunite with his former Ajax manager, Erik ten Hag, at Old Trafford.
