The Ondo State Security Network Agency, also known as the Amotekun Corps, said on Thursday that it had foiled a bank robbery operation by a seven-member gang of suspected criminals in the state.
Adetunji Adeleye, the corps commander, said this while paraded 37 individuals involved in different criminal activities across the state at the corps’ headquarters in Alagbaka, Akure, the state capital.
According to him, six gang members had invaded the state from Delta State to carry out their criminal operations.
Adeleye added that the corps stopped the scheme after receiving intelligence, which resulted in the arrest of one gang member within the state while the others escaped.
