The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has melted hearts as the Ooni of Ife shared touching videos of himself and his first son with ex-wife, Queen Naomi, Prince Tadenikawo.

A circulating clip captured the monarch carrying his son while bidding Queen Naomi farewell after the celebration of Tade’s 5th birthday. In another video, young Prince Tadenikawo held firmly to his father’s staff as he prayed for him and called him his joy.

The emotional exchange stirred reactions, with many viewers insisting that the monarch still holds deep affection for his ex-wife.

One JFS Signature wrote, “This is pure blessings coming out of love deep down from the king.”

Mrs S Khalid added, “How I wish Naomi would come back. This man loves her, and you can see it in his prayers to his first son.”

Another user commented, “Queen Silekunola should return to the palace because of their son. That statement is touching.”

Others echoed similar sentiments, saying Kabiyesi would gladly welcome Naomi back if she ever changed her mind.

Just last month, the Ooni celebrated Tade at 5, describing him as the promise of tomorrow and the continuation of their sacred dynasty. He prayed for his growth and called him a gift and a legacy.

In 2023, the monarch and Queen Naomi reunited in the palace for Tade’s 3rd birthday celebration, a moment that warmed many hearts. They were also seen together earlier this year in Akure during the opening of a project in Naomi’s hometown, where the monarch exchanged a few words with her while she held their son.

Queen Naomi announced the end of their three-year marriage in December 2022, stating that though the marriage held sweet memories, it also came with challenges she could no longer endure. She made it clear she would not return to the palace, especially now that the monarch has six wives.

In a later interview, the Ooni admitted that the crash of their marriage brought mockery and questions about his authority, pushing him to seek clarity from God. According to him, God reassured him, and today he is surrounded by queens in the palace.
