Opeyemi Aiyeola ignores godson Jamiu Azeez’s public apology, as the Nollywood actress refrains from responding despite the actor’s heartfelt plea for forgiveness.
Jamiu Azeez had taken to Instagram to apologise to Opeyemi, whom he described as his sister, mother, confidant, and benefactor. He admitted to acting childishly, acknowledged the deep hurt he caused, and begged for her forgiveness.
I can never write my story without your name boldly written… I know I hurt you deeply, and the cut was so deep. But please forgive me for the sake of God,” he wrote.
Despite his public apology, Opeyemi chose not to respond directly. Instead, she shared a video on her Instagram highlighting two of her personal life rules: never let emotions weigh you down and never let anyone see you finish. Many interpreted this as a subtle message amid Jamiu’s apology.
This comes after a difficult period for Jamiu, who revealed last year that he had been battling depression in silence for two years following the death of colleague Junior Pope. Opeyemi had previously shown support, sending him encouragement and reminding him to hold onto his faith.
In another personal revelation, Jamiu shared the bitter experience he had with a friend’s wife after offering advice to her husband, adding to the public scrutiny of his recent struggles.
