836 Nigerians landed in the country from war-torn Sudan and arrived in the capital Abuja on Sunday. They flew into the country with Max Air, Azman and Tarco Airlines.

Max Air and Azman Air landed with Nigerians stranded in Aswan, Egypt, with 410 and 324 evacuees respectively.

Tarco transported 102 Nigerians from Port Sudan.

This number is the fourth group of returnees to be successfully evacuated from the North African country by the Federal Government.

The returnees were said to have departed around 5:25 am from Sudan International Airport on Sunday and landed at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport around 12:40 pm.

National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Nigerian Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) officials and security officials were at the airport to receive them.
