Nigerian socialite and content creator, Raheem Abike Halimah, popularly known as Papaya Ex, recently shed light on the challenges of residing in Lekki, Lagos, during an interview with content creator Isbae U on Curiosity Made Me Ask.

In the conversation, Isbae U brought up Papaya Ex’s previous statement about using 150 bags of sachet water weekly. However, Papaya Ex clarified that it’s actually within a span of four days, not weekly. She explained that due to water scarcity in Lekki, she resorts to using sachet water for bathing.

Here’s a snippet of their conversation:

Isbae U: You once said you use 150 bags weekly.

Papaya Ex:Weekly? In four days, not weekly.

Isbae U:What for? Is it to quench your taste?

Papaya Ex:Don’t you stay on the Island? We use pure water to have our bath here on the highland.

Following her revelation, social media users weighed in, expressing skepticism and disbelief at her claims.

This isn’t the first time Papaya Ex has spoken out about the challenges of living in Lekki. In 2022, she lamented about the water scarcity in the area, revealing that she spends a considerable amount of money on sachet water for bathing, cooking, and flushing.

Despite her controversial statements, Papaya Ex remains a prominent figure on social media, with a substantial following. She recently disclosed that she spends around N50,000 weekly on internet bundles, sparking disbelief among some of her followers.
