Job Description
To conceptualize, pursue, and manage all strategic collaborations and value-creating engagement with like-minded, reputable public institutions and organizations in Africa, and outside of the continent.
Responsibilities
- To conceptualize, pursue, and manage all strategic collaborations and value-creating engagement with like-minded, reputable public institutions and organizations in Africa, and outside of the continent.
- To unlock more funding and support for African entrepreneurs through new partnerships, with key stakeholders and players in the public development ecosystem.
- Relationship Management and Contract Negotiations
- Experience in proposal drafting, Concept Notes, and writing reports.
- Identify, define, and develop funding sources to support existing and planned program activities as well as coordinate and manage the development, writing, submission, and tracking of grant proposals and concept notes to third-party entities.
- Conducts research to help identify viable funding opportunities, and prepares, and writes clear, compelling content and narrative for grant requests, proposals, or concept notes.
- Donor and stakeholder mapping exercises quarterly with periodic bulk communication of impact as well as targeted engagement for partnership discussions.
- Conduct research for lead generation to identify potential new areas of partnerships/ funding to support the Foundation and Entrepreneurship Programme.
- Participate in external meetings and events as a lead generation strategy and positively position the Foundation.
- Conduct comprehensive stakeholder mapping and assessment that identifies priority partners.
- Identify trends in entrepreneurship globally and in Africa and the major members of the ecosystem.
- Support in the development of reports to TEF Partners and stakeholders.
- Consummate identified public sectors/MFI/INGO partnerships, especially cognizant of time scale issues.
- Implement aggressive public sector partnership initiative to position TEF as the partner of choice to deploy all development funding, assistance, and aid channeled/earmarked for Africa.
- Design and deploy effective strategies to build, manage, and sustain enduring relationships for successful and productive engagement.
- Enforce a partnership framework that ensures TEF collaboration with only tier-1 partners leading to undeniably clear and measurable value-add for the Foundation.
- Execute and close on commitments towards TEF’s proposed $100m Coalition for African Entrepreneurs
