Ahead of the March 11 gubernatorial elections, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Labor Party (LP) and some opposition parties are currently negotiating an alliance aimed at defeating the All Progressive Congress(APC) in Lagos state.
The PDP Senatorial Candidate, Lagos West Senate Constituency Segun Adewale, commonly known as Aeroland, and Dr Femi Ferguson, President Ndigbo United Association, Lagos Chapter, said this at a media briefing in Ikeja, Lagos on Friday. Stating that the main reason for the alliance between PDP, LP, and other candidates is over alleged manipulation and stolen mandate.
Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour (GRV), Lagos state’s Labor Party (LP) gubernatorial candidate, also confirmed talks with the leadership of the state’s People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
The LP candidate told supporters in Lagos’ Lekki district that talks with PDP were necessary to forge a united front against the All Progressive Congress (APC) in next week’s gubernatorial election.
