Pero Osaiyemi, the mother of three of legendary singer 2Baba’s seven children, has taken to social media to celebrate her first daughter, Ehi Idibia, on her 19th birthday.
On April 27, Pero Osaiyemi marked the special occasion by sharing a heartfelt tribute to Ehi on Instagram. Reflecting on the remarkable young woman her daughter has become, Pero expressed deep gratitude and pride. She described Ehi as a shining light in her life—smart, assertive, beautiful, and generous.
From the moment you came into my life, you have been a shining light,” Pero wrote. “You make me proud every single day with the way you carry yourself, your kindness, and your strength of character. Watching you grow into the woman you are today has been one of the greatest blessings of my life.”
Pero poured out prayers for her daughter, asking for divine favor, guidance, and protection. She assured Ehi of her unwavering love, emphasizing that no matter where life takes her, she will always have a special place in her heart.
Ehi, a University of Connecticut student, has consistently made her mother proud. Last year, Pero celebrated her daughter’s admission to the prestigious university and was present at her graduation ceremony alongside her boyfriend, though 2Baba was noticeably absent.
On her 18th birthday, Pero had expressed amazement at how quickly her daughter had grown into a legal adult, marveling at her intelligence and strength. Similarly, 2Baba joined in celebrating Ehi, describing her as a reflection of his iconic song “African Queen.”
