Reality star Phyna has voiced her frustrations with the Nigerian Police and ongoing road construction around Ajah, Lagos.
In a six-minute rant, Phyna expressed her displeasure with how police officers frequently target luxury car drivers, often demanding money during routine stops. According to Phyna, their focus on expensive cars reveals a bias against young people, especially successful ones, which she found troubling.
She recounted a personal experience where a police officer falsely claimed her vehicle papers had expired, but she refused to be manipulated. Phyna raised concerns about how male drivers might be treated in similar situations and questioned the police’s stance on seeing young people succeed.
In another part of her rant, Phyna criticized the seemingly endless road construction around the Ajah area. She pointed out that the project has been ongoing for months without significant progress, leading to heavy traffic and poor driving conditions. She compared the Nigerian construction team to a Chinese company that built a hospital in just six days in 2020. She also noted how dangerous driving in the area can be at night, with construction workers using bright overhead lights that blind oncoming drivers.
